Good evening,
Please go through the following query.
1)Does Vermont High Test Supports MS-DOS applications ?
2)or only Vermont Test for DOS 2.0 and Vermont Test/Terminal DOS 2.0 suitable for MS-DOS applications?
3)Does Vermont High Test advanced version of Vermont Test for DOS 2.0 and Vermont Test/Terminal DOS 2.0?
Please provide the information as early as possible
with thanks and regards

Thank you for your interest in Vermont HighTest Plus.
HighTest was designed as a Windows testing tool from the very start and given that we already had a DOS testing tool, did not see a need to add tesing of DOS apps.
That being said, for many years people have been using HighTest to test their DOS apps as Microsoft has improved the integration of the DOS box into the OS such that virtually all keys and actions in the DOS box are seen by the Windows message queue.
Vermont Test is designed to test DOS applications and is optimized to run in that environment. It will run inside a DOS box, so it is an option for testing DOS apps on a Windows machine.
Vermont Test/Terminal is designed to test host-based apps when you have a direct connection to the host (e.g. Serial port) and provides synchronization via the flow control signals.
HighTest can help you test host-based applications when you are using a Windows-based terminal emulator, but because it is a host environment, you must make sure to include synchronization commands in the script to keep everything flowing properly.
There is not any support within HighTest for Vermont Test scripts. The environments are so different that it did not make any sense to go there.
Regards,
Rich.
