Vermont Test/Terminal
Version 2.0 for DOS
For Mini And Mainframe Automated Software Testing

Vermont Test/Terminal v2.0
Vermont Test/Terminal brings the ease of use and versatility of Vermont Test to the mini and mainframe world. It is a version of Vermont Test that has the additional capabilities to synchronize with your host computer.

Vermont Test/Terminal works in concert with terminal emulation software installed on a PC connected to a host mini or mainframe computer. Test/Terminal works with most popular ASCII terminal emulation programs, including Reflection 4, ProComm, SmarTerm 240, Carbon Copy Plus, Crosstalk Mk4, ICE10, and more.

Vermont Test/Terminal synchronizes testing with remote, host computer
Vermont Test/Terminal coordinates its release of recorded key strokes with the readiness of the host computer to receive them. Special intelligent algorithms withhold keystrokes during times when the host computer is in the midst of screen updates or unable to receive input. These algorithms allow Vermont Test/Terminal to keep its playback in synchronization with the state of an application even when host response times differ significantly between recording and playback.

No programming required
Vermont Test/Terminal makes everyone, whether they are a programmer, in-house tester, beta user, or end user part of your testing team. Anyone who can use your program can build scripts to add to your test routine.

No change in development process
Vermont Test/Terminal is simple to use. You can easily enlist developers in the testing process. You'll end up with a large set of test scripts as a free byproduct of the normal programmer testing and debugging.

No learning investment
Vermont Test/Terminal is so easy to learn that you'll be using it to catch bugs within minutes of opening the box.

Low cost
Vermont Test/Terminal retails for only $495. Most mini and mainframe testing software costs $5,000 and up.

A nearly universal testing solution
Vermont Test/Terminal works with any operating system. It only requires a PC acting as an ASCII terminal connected directly to the host.

Non intrusive
No modification of the application is required. Vermont Test/Terminal is completely non intrusive.
